What is a pawn?
A pawn is a short term cash loan (usually 30 days, but can be extended indefinitely just by paying the interest and fees) that is made to individuals based on the value of some personal item(s) pledged as security that we hold in our procession during the loan tem as ‘collateral’ for repayment of the original loan amount plus any interest and fees. We do this without any applications, financial statements or credit checks. The process is extremely quick and usually takes less than 5 minutes. To be able to pawn or sell any item you must be at least 18 years old and have in your possession a valid state or federal issued photo ID. All information is held in the strictest of confidence.
Loans are issued based on your personal needs and on the value of your personal property that is being put up as collateral. While you have your loan with us; your pledged merchandise is safely stored in our safes or warehouse and is not for sale or shown to the public. Your merchandise will only be sold if you default or choose not to repay the loan. A pawn issued for 30 days may be extended indefinitely as long as the interest and fees are paid monthly and on time.
By New Hampshire State Law; we are legally required to hold all pawns for at least 120 days (four months) before any pawned item can be re-sold to anyone else for non payment by the original pledger. This does not apply to 'buy's'.
A 'buy' is when we purchase your merchandise from you outright, and it's immediately available to us for re-sale.
